Children's Sight
Child With Glasses

How to know if you child needs a glasses?

Children rarely complain about their sight, but often show there may be a problem with their vision through their behavior.

This can include:

  • Sitting too close to the TV
  • Squinting
  • Rubbing their eyes a lot
  • Holding objects (books, stories) very close to their face
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Blinking a lot
  • One eye turning either in or out

If you think your child is experiencing any sort of sight problems, take them to an ophthalmic practitioner for a check-up as soon as possible.

Children should have their eyes checked once every two years if they do not have any problems with their vision. if you child already wears eyeglasses, then you should schedule a routine check-up every six months since his/her prescription might change frequently.
